~An update on events pre-exam~
It was a curry night at the curry mile in Manchester which is Rusholme. It was organized by one of my old PBL classmates, Abhi.(for some reason, she enjoys scaring and bullying yvinne and me.. the Malaysians.. sobs.. haha) It was just a get together of a a few PBL groups she had been in and it also served as a belated birthday party for one of the girls.
The curry was to start at 7.30pm. I had yet to leave my Salfordian flat at 7.15 pm. Goodness, it would take an hour to get to ther curry mile. Finally the tram came and we headed off.
we were more that half and hour late. whoopsie~!~!~!~
I was very nice to meet my old PBL group mates and also some of the friends we had studied with during our postings. Yvinne and I were seated across from this two boys. They knew a couple of Malaysians in our year and had a couple of malay nicknames they learned for each like Si Puteh and more...
They seemed to have a fixation on using the word "lah" (we have brought the "lah" to England.. maybe it will catch on.. haha)
They tried to learn many word all through the night. It was hilarious... Imagine someone saying "si CoMel" in an english accent.. and due to they love of the word "lah".. they insisted on saying it as "si comel lah" haha
They also learned how to say "cun chick" and more... all in preparations to speak to malaysian girls... :)
Finally, he was put to the test, he was to be videotaped trying to pick up a girl.. which in this case was a stuffed hippo which was given to the birthday girl. He was to use all his new words... it was a hoooooooooooooooott~!~!~ there is a video
i am contemplating on sharing it.. but he seems really eager not to get it publically displayed...hmmm
It was a nice night and for that few hours, the stress of the exam had escaped me until i set foot into my room again..
:)
